Predator Triathlon Club News Feb 08
Hello
Hope everyone is enjoying their training. The season is about to start. Whatever your goals are good luck with them.
Triathlon Ireland Membership – If you have not yet joined TI you will need to do so in order to be covered by insurance. This will cover all training & races, plus cheaper entry to events. Once you have your number let Ruth have it.
Predator Duathlon – Our Duathlon is to be held on 15th March 08. Plans are well under way with the event. As always we need volunteers on the day to make it a success. All new members are encouraged to take part in the event with older members helping out on the day. If you are a new member, could we ask that you try & bring along a volunteer to help out. Also, if anyone has names could they let Tony know? He will be sending out nagging e-mails soon!
Training – Club training nights are on Tuesday night (run), Wednesday night (swim), Saturday morning (challenge). All members should try & attend these sessions. They cover the basics of triathlon & are adapted for all levels of fitness.
The first race starts this Sunday in Limerick. It is important from now on to keep checking the TI website as events will be opening up for entries. Some races fill up very quick. Let people know if you are unsure of how to enter.
Triathlon Ireland is looking for more race delegates. We have to put people forward to do a one day course. It is standard that we help official at other races throughout the year. If you are interested can you let Ruth know?
Clothing – If you haven’t picked one up yet, new club t-shirts are available free of charge. They will be available this Saturday morning from 10am at hotel. The club tri gear will be here at the end of March. Once they have arrived they will be available for the new season.
Website – The club website is coming along nicely. Keep checking the Forum as a lot of news & issues are put up there. Thanks to Mark & Seb for all their work.
Don’t forget, club training is for ALL members whatever your level of fitness. Come along and join in.
Keep up the training especially whilst we have some good weather.
